How would you fix a golf shoe to prevent swaying in a golf swing?

Someone on a previous post suggested , cut the sole and raise it in – and this will prevent a sway in the golf swing. Can somone who has done this be a little more descriptive on how to do this?

Is it considered proper ettiquette to tip a golf instructor? I generously tip waitstaff when I dine out, but I don't tip the hardware store employee who explains how to fix something. I tip a cab driver, but I don't tip the person who bags my groceries. I am just wondering where [...]
