Golf Fast Tips For A Beginner?
Hi, I’m learning to golf and I took a lesson so I know basic pitching, chipping, and putting, but the golf team tryouts start tomorrow and I’m very qamateur.
Are there any tips or tricks to shooting far or high or keeping chipping distance undr control, etc? I need immediate hple pleas!
Thanks so much!

Relax your hands. Beginners squeeze the club too hard.
Keep it simple tomorrow. I’d advise you against trying any new tips or tricks in a tryout. Just breathe deep, relax your body, and swing. Don’t think too much; pressure is a killer in golf.
There are a few things you can do in the short, mid and long term to get better….
First for the short term: You need to make sure your swing fundamentals are sound. Check your grip. Make sure your grip is not too weak or too strong. Get a good set up and alignment. When you swing, make sure that you are loading your weight behind you and moving it through your swing (right to left).
For the mid term: Short game practice. Go to the range or chipping/putting facility and work those short, mid and long range chips and pitches.
For the long term: Get lessons. Find a good pro and get a few lessons at first, then another lesson every couple months (assuming your playing). Also you can use swing trainers to help develop your correct swing. Then you can try to use some devices that will help you understand your game – read books, buy a range finder, watch the greats on video – whatever you can find. Learn and get better.
Hope this helps a little…
the most important thing i’ve learned playing golf is that every time you line up to swing-its the only swing you’ve got-no redo’s-so take you’re time, line up the shot, concentrate on every one like its the only shot you are going to get-but don’t worry-dont think about what could go wrong-think about what can go right-relaxing and having fun will improve your game more than any advice-you said you know the basics so just be calm, be confident, and give it your best
I have been golfing for 40 years and the main thing I tell beginners is that the golf swing is not made by just your hands and arms.
Focus on the ground up. Turn your shoulders away from the ball and swing with your whole body.
Make sure your weight is on your right side on your backswing and transfer your weight to all of your left side when you follow thru
Golf is not as difficult as some people would lead you to believe. Both hands firm (equal pressure), swing easy, windmill it down, don’t think about it, you can’t hit and think at the same time. Good luck.
yes, relax, don’t think too much, concentrate on it, try to be better than yesterday, you’ll be improved greatly soon
Make a good shoulder turn and keep your head still. Try to keep your upper body in one piece and try to turn your back to the target in your backswing.
check this site out…It might help you to play better golf.
