A number of the shops in my area will regrip your solely for the cost of the grip. If you want to do it you have to buy the grips, tape and solvent. They will do it solely for the cost of the grip, something you are going to pay for either way. See if you can find a shop that will do it solely for you buying the grips at their shop.
I do not use solvent or tape. I am real happy with a grip company out of Arizona called Star Grips. I put them on with an air compressor. Look at the site below and look for the tapeless video link on the left side of the screen.

I’ve regripped my clubs several times and it’s very easy to do but you must be quick about it and it’s a bit messy. THE most important thing you need to do is align the grip properly. Each new grip has markers on the grip and when you have the club regripped you want to make sure you see those markers as you stand over the club and those markers must be in line. Also make sure to let the grip cure for an hour or more if possible before you use it.
One tool that’s very useful is a special blade you can use with your utility knife. It’s a hook blade that allows you to strip an old grip in seconds. Good luck

Strip the old grip. Clean the exposed shaft. Apply one wrap of double faced tape, two inch wide variety, so that it hangs over the end of the grip by about 1/4 inch. Remove the backing to expose the second sticky side and then fold the overhang into end of grip.
Get a solvent (lighter fluid works best). DO THIS OUTSIDE IN A VENTILATED AREA. Put a good sized squirt into the grip, be sure to hold your finger over the hole, and shake it around. Wet the whole inside of the grip. Pour the excess over the tape on the shaft wetting it well. Find the top of the grip, (little notches) and slide it over the shaft. If the grip has a rib, be sure to align it on the bottom. Make sure the grip is straight, not twisted. You will have about two minutes to align the grip. Let club sit about ten minutes before playing golf. Good luck.

Take your clubs to a shop (like Golf Galaxy or your club pro shop) and have it done. They are only going to charge you a few dollars per grip more than it would cost to buy the grips (not to mention the cost of the tape, lubricant, the cost of your own time, etc.). You will know it’s done right and if they damage a club in the process they have to pay to fix it. It’s relatively little money for the effort you would put into doing it yourself.

THE GOLFSMITH RE-GRIPPING KIT IS GREAT. IT COMES WITH ALL YOU NEED AND THE LUBRICANT IS GREAT. BE SURE TO USE A LOT OF LUBRICANT. PUT THE LUBRICANT IN THE GRIP AND SHAKE IT WELL , POUR THE REST ON THE GRIP TAPE, THEN QUICKLY PUSH THE GRIP ON THE SHAFT. IT ALSO HELPS TO TWIST THE GRIP AS YOU PUSH IT ON THE SHAFT. FIND THE CENTER OF YOUR SHAFT AND MAKE A SMALL MARK SO YOU KNOW WHERE TO LINE THE GRIP UP. GOOD LUCK!
